Tiling Onto Euro Cav Cavity Sliders
Euro Cav cavity sliders are engineered and independently tested to handle tiled walls in bathrooms without requiring additional reinforcement in most cases. Once installed, the tiles help strengthen the cavity pocket, but proper installation is crucial for long-term durability. To ensure correct spacing, Euro Cav comes with pre-installed jamb spreader blocks, which should remain in place while wall linings are fitted.
Euro Cav Cavity Sliders with Ply Reinforcement
For added strength in wet area applications, Euro Cav can be built with structural plywood in place of standard noggings, making it ideal for securely mounting fixtures such as grab rails or towel rails. In cases where heavy tiles are used or the cavity pocket is part of a shower enclosure, we offer a 17mm H3-treated plywood panel integrated within the frame to provide additional durability and long-term performance.
